Non-Smoking Rooms - Most of our accommodations are NON-smoking. However we have several smoking rooms.  Please let us know if you need a smoking room.

Pet Policy - We are a pet friendly facility.  Well behaved dogs are welcomed here.  Please let us know if you plan to bring your pet.  Pets must be kept on a leash at all times when outside, picked up after, and not left alone in the room.

Pool - We have a large outdoor pool.  Pool hours are from 9am until 8pm.  We do not have a lifeguard on duty and you must swim at your own risk.  There must be 2 adults in the pool area, you may not swim alone. Children must also be supervised by 2 adults at all times.  

Beach -   There is a nice public beach with playground available free of charge within walking distance (10-15 minutes) from our premises.  We do not have a beach on the premises.

Playgrounds - There are two playgrounds nearby.  One is about 5 minutes walking distance from our grounds and the other is about 10 -15 minutes walking distance and is located at the public beach.

Fishing - You may fish directly from the docks here at the Ledges.  Our guests catch everything from small pan fish to pike here.  There are also many fine fishing guides in the area who are available to take you out for a full or 1/2 day of fishing on the St. Lawrence.  Please see "nearby attractions" page for more information.

Dockage - We offer dockage for for seasonal and transient boaters.  Please refer to our Rates page for more information.

Boat Launch - We do not have a boat launch on premises.  There are 2 free public launches just a minute or two drive from our grounds.

Parking for Boat Trailers - We have parking for trailers on a first come first serve basis.  It is unlikely that we will run out of room for boat trailers but in that event you must take your trailer to the free municipal lot a 2 minute drive from here.  Trailers with boats loaded on them may not be parked here.

Continental Breakfast - We offer a free continental breakfast every morning to all of our guests.  This breakfast includes coffee and a selection of muffins/donuts/danish, and fruit.

Restaurants - We do not have a restaurant on premises however there are many within walking distance or just a minute away by car.  Several of these establishments offer a delivery service as well.

Downtown Alex Bay - We are located just a 10-15 minute walk or a minute by car from the downtown area.  Here you will find many fine gift shops, restaurants, boat tours, and entertainment.

Cabins - We do not have cabins here at the Ledges. We do have several floating chalets. Please see the "Chalet" page for more information.  We also have what we call the private king room.  This room has a private covered deck and the room is not attached to any other accommodations here.

Kitchens - All rooms here do have microwaves and refrigerators.  The chalets here have full kitchens.  Our efficiency units have kitchenettes.  

BBQ Grills - We have charcoal grills on premises available for your use. Please bring your own charcoal and lighter fluid.

View from the Rooms - The rooms here all have a water view.  You can see the river and lots of boats from your room.  Boldt Castle can be seen here from much of our grounds but not from all rooms.  The Chalets have direct shipping channel view and view of Boldt Castle.

Decks/Balconies - All rooms in the motel are located on the ground floor.  An extra wide covered sidewalk along the motel offers lots of chairs and tables for you to sit outside and enjoy the view from your room.  Our private king room has its own deck which is covered and also has a table and chairs.  The Chalets have large decks on the first floor with tables and chairs.  There is a balcony on the second floor of each Chalet. 

Gazebos/Decks/Picnic Tables -  We have several large riverside decks with lots of seating and picnic tables.  There are picnic tables available around the grounds as well.  We have 2 gazebos here with views of the river.  One is fully screened in.  The gazebos are lighted in the evening.

Cancellation Policy - We have a 2 day cancellation policy for all regular accommodations.  This  means that you have until 2 days prior to your arrival to cancel for a refund.  HOWEVER Chalet and efficiency reservations may NOT be cancelled for a refund.

Office Hours - Our main office opens daily at 8 am and our posted closing time is 6pm.  Most evenings we will remain open until 8pm.  Complimentary buckets of ice are available in the office during office hours.

Hair Dryers & Irons - Are available upon request.  Just let us know when making your reservation if you require a hair dryer and/or iron and board in your room.

Types of Payment - We accept credit cards, travelers cheques,  or cash upon check in.  Personal checks are not accepted at the desk however may be used for a deposit in advance.  Chalet and efficiency reservations require a check or money order as deposit and that deposit is non refundable.
